NIGEL

Age: 10
Adoption Fees: $300
Adoption Status:

May 15, 2017 – Nigel is gone to his forever home.

May 5, 2017  – Nigel loves his walks, no matter what the weather!!  He really didn’t seem to mind walking in the rain, but that’s just how he rolls, super easy going an laid back.

April 25, 2017 – Nigel enjoyed some sunshine this weekend outside on the patio. He is still recuperating from his surgery and had to go back to the Vet yesterday to get some antibiotics. He does sleep a lot.  He is having an easier time eating now that his mouth feels better. He is eating soft food with some kibble that has been moistened. He still has the odd accident in the house, but its getting better.  He gets along very well with his foster brothers. He walks well on the leash, but doesn’t go very fast.  He is very vocal, and will greet you with a very loud chorus of barks and cries when you come home. He does cry a little when you go out, or even when you go to a different part of the house. That should decrease when he gets settled in to his new home.

April 23, 2017 – Nigel had his teeth cleaned.  He only had 13 teeth in his mouth to start with and the vet had to remove 7, so he’s got 6 teeth left.  He was also neutered.  Nigel is back to his foster home for a smooth recovery.

April 18, 2017 – Nigel is taking his time settling into his foster home. Every day, we see a little bit more of his personality. He is a happy, gentle pug that gets along well with his foster brothers. Like any pug, he loves to snuggle up beside you or sit in your lap.  At night, he sleeps in his dog bed on the floor beside the big bed.  He doesn’t see much, but he does hear a little bit. He doesn’t bark but will cry to greet you when you come home.  He is going to need the company of a pug brother or sister, and will definitely need a family that is not gone for extended hours.

April 16, 2017 – Nigel is doing very well and is learning to navigate in his new environment.  Nigel is an easy going boy and loves to cuddle.  Nigel gets along well with other dogs, he’s rather indifferent to them.  For this he would do well with or without a canine companion.

April 11, 2017 – Nigel is an old man, the vet says he would be around 10.  He was found wandering the streets and was never claimed.  Nigel’s eyesight is poor and he’s almost deaf.  He is not neutered and he needs his teeth cleaned. Nigel will be going to the vet on April 18 for a complete check up and to schedule his neutering surgery and dental cleaning.  Nigel is 23lbs. Stay tuned for more on Nigel as we get to know him.
