July 20, 2010 -INTRODUCTION - Bella is a puppy mill dog, she would be around 5 years old. She's 15.8 lbs and she has recently been spayed. She loves to sleep and is becoming more playful every day. She is a very sweet little girl who loved to be cuddled. She's a bit shy with new people at first. She loves to sleep in the big bed and is absolutely no trouble. She would do good with another small dog to keep her company. If you are interested in adopting Bella, please fill in an adoption application form and return tu us. |

Rosie - 9 year old female |
|

July 28, 2010 - Rosie is doing very well. She loves to cuddle up with us on the couch and she gets along very well with the other dogs. She is a wonderful little girl and would make someone a wonderful companion. If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please fill in an adoption application form.
July 15, 2010 - This sweet girl is still waiting for that special person/family to adopt her.
July 6, 2010 - Rosie is doing very well. She now goes straight for the door when she gets up in the morning and looks forward to her morning treat afterwards. She sometimes has an accident in the house, but we now know that when she heads for the kitchen and starts pacing, that she needs to go out. She has starting playing with toys. She will go to the doggie toy box and help herself to whatever stuffed toy she wants. She will throw them around and gently chew on them. Over a period of time she will have a number of toys laying throughout the room. She doesn’t even mind when one of the other dogs ends up with her toy. She just goes and gets another one.
June 25, 2010 - Rosie is getting more and more comfortable around her foster family. She is still a little skittish but she will willingly come when you put your hand out for her. If her foster mom sits down on the sofa, Rosie will climb the doggy stairs for some cuddling and scratching time.
June 23, 2010 - Rosie is doing very well and she's a sweet girl getting out of her shell a bit more every day.
June 16, 2010 - Rosie is recovering well from her spaying surgery. The vet did mention an old scar on her abdomen probably due to a c-section she's had in the past....Rosie is 17lbs.
June 14, 2010 - Rosie is doing well. She was at the PUGSTOCK last Sunday in a very nice stroller, she really enjoyed all the attention she got from all the people there. Rosie was spayed this morning and had her teeth cleaned, she didn't lose any and the vet cracked the tartar and polished her teeth. She's a real sweetie and she is turning into a cuddle bug.
June 10, 2010 - Rosie went to the vet yesterday and was vaccinated and had her nails trimmed. She was a very good girl and she weights 19.2lbs. The vet estimated that she'd be around 9 years old. She is getting spayed next week. Surprisingly, her teeth are in very good condition but she had an ear infection and has to take antibiotics for the next days..
June 7, 2010 - INTRODUCTION - Rosie is one of the 4 female pugs that were saved from a puppy mill on Sunday June 6. She had puppies recently. Rosie has an appointment to go to the vet in the coming days for a complete check up and vaccination. An appointment will then be made to have her spayed. Rosie has adapted very well to her foster family and she. Here is the first update on Rosie - "She tends to follow us around. I think she likes to have someone in her sights. However, if we turn to walk towards her she scrambles nervously to get away. She gets along very well with the other dogs and seems to enjoy their company. She ate most of her food last night after we added some water to it to soften it slightly. I would guess that she is used to getting at least some canned food in her diet. She did poop outside. In fact, she has not had any accidents in the house yet. Although she is shy, she can be encouraged to approach us although she is quite cautious in doing so. When we approach her, we do so slowly so as not to scare her. However, when you start to pet or scratch her, she almost melts in sheer bliss from the love. She is going to be an incredible joy to whomever should adopt her." |

July 28, 2010 - Levi's doing well. His back is pretty much straight now, it had been quite bent when he arrived. He is doing very well with the house training and although there is the odd accident, they are more rare. He seems to be picking up on the hand signals, so if he's looking at you, he'll come when gestured to. He's been eating twice a day and is putting on a bit of much needed weight, and he's now able (and happy) to eat dry food. He's able to easily go up stairs that are not too steep, so he quickly hops up our porch and back deck stairs, but he can't handle our steep, slippery hardwood house stairs. His tolerance for long walks is very good, he's able to go 3km on a day that's not too hot. If you are that person, please fill in an adoption application form.
July 15, 2010 - This beautiful mellow boy is still waiting to be adopted. He would make an incredible addition to anyone who has lots of love to give and wants an easy-going companion.
July 6, 2010 - Levi seems very happy and he's eating well. He gets along really well with Pepper and the cat and he likes the walks and lounging outside on the deck in the sun.
June 29, 2010 - Levi is an easy going little man, he would be perfect for someone who has lots of love to give away and who's looking for a bundle of fur to adore. If you are that special person, please fill in an adoption application form and return to us.
June 24, 2010 - Levi is doing well. He loves spending time on the deck outside, and he is very friendly and appreciates attention. He seems to like cuddling on the couch as well. He is getting stronger and more mobile all the time, he is quite good at going up and down the steps from the deck to the yard. If you're looking for a mellow guy who just wants to please you, Levi is the pug for you.
June 18, 2010 - Levi is doing just fine, following his foster dad everywhere and getting along very well with their female lab. He sleeps and eats well. Levi is a very easy going pug who will make someone very happy. I June 15, 2010 - Levi came to the PUGSTOCK last Sunday and enjoyed the attention around him.
June 13, 2010 - Levi is doing very well since he had his dental work done and a good bath. This older guy is a joy to be around and he gets along just well with the other dog in his foster home. If you are interested in becoming Levi's forever home, please fill in an adoption application form and return to us.
June 6, 2010 - Levi is a lot more active now and cuddly and able to tolerate and learning to enjoy longer walks. He is still not able to manage the stairs but can do the steps outside. I guess that he has even gained some weight, he has quite an appetite now and has become more interested in eating. Still a few accidents in the house which lead me to think that he most likely was not well trained rather than a "marking" thing, so we are working on that. Levi seems to have difficulty to hear but the vet was unable to say if he's completely def or not. He's slowly learning sign language.
June 5, 2010 - Levi went to the groomer today for a nice warm bath and to have his ears thoroughly cleaned. He was a real gentleman and was very good when he had his nails trimmed.
June 2, 2010 - Levi had his teeth cleaned this morning. He lost 7 and the rest were thoroughly cleaned and polished. The little man was awake when I called at the vet clinic. He will have to take antibiotics for the next 10 days. He will certainly feel (and smell) much better now. The vet estimated that Levi would be close to 10 years old.
May 27, 2010 - INTRODUCTION - Levi is a puppy mill survivor. He was so filthy that the person who went to pick him up though he was a black pug. After a nice warm bath, they realized he was fawn. Levi is neutered and has very bad teeth and the breath that goes along with this..... He is a happy little guy who gets along well with other dogs. Levi has absolutely no muscle tone on his hind legs but he is able to do stairs and he pretty active and curious. Levi has an appointment to see the vet next Wednesday.
